Speak Storytelling is proud to have firmly established itself as one of the leading storytelling series in the United States featuring highly acclaimed tellers from around the world. 

Speak continues our tradition of promoting the world’s oldest art form in new ways. Your contributions will help us ensure that the artistic director is sustainably compensated, continue to attract world class tellers, and provide well-received outreach programs for area schools and organizations.

Become an Outreach Donor and give the gift of storytelling to local students!
For 2025, gifts of $500 will be recognized as Outreach Donors. Outreach Donors support a particular individual artist’s visit to a local school or organization, bringing the gift of storytelling to the community. Contact our artistic director with questions.

Become a Producing Donor and give the gift of storytelling to our community!
For 2025, gifts of $1,000 or greater will be recognized as Producing Donors. Producing Donors sponsor the evening concert of an individual 2025 artist. Contact our artistic director with questions.

Become a Commissioning Donor and give the gift of storytelling to the world!
For 2025, a gift of $2000 or greater will be recognized as Commissioning Donor. Commissioning Donors sponsor the 2025 commissioned story artist to develop a new work of story art. See our previous commission details here. Contact our artistic director with questions.

Donations of any amount are welcome. Donors of $50 or greater will be recognized as Friends of Speak.

We are excited about the range of possibilities our new status provides. In our twelve years of existence Speak has become one of Shepherdstown’s cultural gems. We welcome your support to allow it to grow and evolve.
